PM SCANDINAVIA · HOME

Private guiding and carefully designed group journeys across Sweden, Norway, Poland, Austria and Switzerland, with Baltic travel options. Personal attention from the first conversation.

A different kind of travel company

The new PM Scandinavia experience is picture-led, but never picture-only. Visuals carry the emotional entrance; calm, well-shaped copy tells visitors what the place is, what support is available and what is deliberately not promised.

Five destinations. One standard of care.

Explore Sweden, Norway, Poland, Austria and Switzerland with PM Scandinavia. Each country offers a distinct character; every programme begins with the people travelling and the practical decisions that will make their experience work. We design guiding assignments, cultural journeys, themed tours and group programmes around real interests rather than a catalogue of interchangeable packages.

Silja Line and Baltic crossings can be considered as a separate travel element when the sea genuinely improves an itinerary. The aim is always a balanced journey, clear responsibilities and professional care from enquiry to departure.

Norway: the long view, properly paced.

From Oslo to the fjords and further north, the most convincing days are often the ones with fewer promises. A boat, a road, a small town, a viewpoint and a little time to stand still can say more than a crowded itinerary.

Our Norway pages are designed as visual journeys rather than stock-photo galleries: each image belongs to a place, a chapter and a reason to slow down.

Sweden: city culture with water at its edge.

Stockholm is at its best when the formal city, its islands and its everyday pauses are allowed to sit together. Beyond it, southern Sweden, red timber towns, coastline and quieter landscapes offer a more spacious continuation.

For Polish guests, a deeper Stockholm perspective can also continue through the dedicated guide site przewodniksztokholm.com.

Poland: close by, never one-dimensional.

Gdańsk, Kraków and Warsaw are not three versions of the same city break. Each has a different relationship with water, memory, scale and the present moment. That contrast is the point.

For Swedish travellers in particular, Poland is not a lesser alternative to a faraway journey. It is a richly textured destination that can be reached with ease and remembered for longer.

The itinerary is only one part of the experience.

A couple, a coach group and a travel company start in different places. The common thread is care: realistic timing, the right level of guidance, clear handovers and space for the people travelling.

PM Scandinavia does not push a package or promise a one-click answer. Start with a route, a question or a date. The rest can take shape from there.

Tell us what you have in mind

A thoughtful first message is enough. There is no booking engine and no public price list: every proposal begins with the shape of the journey, not a checkout screen.

Remarkable places. Days that work.

A fjord seen from the water. Bergen explored on foot. An Oslo afternoon with time left for the waterfront. A good programme gives these moments room, with a route that makes sense between them. We begin with your interests and time, then bring the journey into shape.

Choose the support you need.

A guide for part of your journey, local arrangements for an itinerary you already have, or help with more of the trip. You may already have a coach and accommodation. We agree what stays with you and what PM Scandinavia will handle.

A few travellers or a whole group?

A private visit, an association trip and a tour operator’s departure need different preparation. Choose the route that fits you. For coach groups, planning includes meeting points, walking time, breaks and each venue’s visiting arrangements.

Austria | Culture, lakes and Alpine routes

Austria deserves its own chapter. A well-designed Austrian programme can move between Vienna’s grand cultural settings, Salzburg’s intimate old town, the lakes of the Salzkammergut and the mountain landscapes of Tyrol. We approach these as different experiences that need time, local understanding and a realistic travel rhythm.

For an association, cultural group or travel company, Vienna might provide the main focus: imperial architecture, museums, music and carefully selected walking routes. Salzburg offers an appealing contrast with its compact historic centre and nearby mountain scenery. A route further west can introduce the Tyrolean region, but the additional distance must create genuine value for the travellers.

The essential question is not how many famous places can fit onto a page. It is how to arrange meaningful visits without exhausting the group. We consider train or coach travel, suitable group meeting points, restaurant timing, free time, and the particular interests that have brought travellers to Austria.

Our role can begin with advice on an existing programme, a guide-related request or wider coordination. The extent of on-the-ground guiding, local suppliers and services must be defined and confirmed individually. Nothing on this page represents a fixed-departure product or a promise of availability.

Sample itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Vienna, settle in and explore a carefully selected central district.

Day 2: Vienna’s architecture, arts or music heritage, with time for a relaxed shared meal.

Day 3: Travel towards Salzburg; focus on the city rather than adding too many stops en route.

Day 4: Salzburg and an optional lakeside excursion, depending on the season and the group’s pace.

Day 5: Departure or an extended programme towards Tyrol.

Switzerland | Rail journeys, lake cities and Alpine views

Switzerland should be experienced as a sequence of carefully chosen moments. Historic lake cities, mountain railways and the Alps can create a memorable route for groups, but the scenery alone is not an itinerary. The most satisfying journey gives enough time to appreciate a destination without sacrificing the day to transfers and photographs.

Zurich can provide an international arrival point; Lucerne brings lakeside city life and access to mountain landscapes. Bern introduces a very different urban character, while the Bernese Oberland and Interlaken region offer opportunities to explore Alpine surroundings. For groups interested in rail travel, scenic train journeys may be part of the programme, subject to the route, group capacity and seasonal operation.

We plan the balance between guided city visits, independent moments and scenic experiences. Mountain excursions deserve a realistic weather alternative, and groups need clear information about elevation, walking distances, boarding arrangements and connections between different modes of transport. An impressive viewpoint is only useful when the logistics are appropriate for the people taking part.

PM Scandinavia welcomes individual enquiries about Switzerland as part of a tailor-made journey or group programme. We first agree the scope, preferred transport, possible local support and arrangements that require confirmation. We do not present unverified train reservations or mountain access as guaranteed.

Sample itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Zurich and allow time for orientation and the first city experience.

Day 2: Travel to Lucerne; discover its historic centre and lakeside setting.

Day 3: A suitable mountain or lake excursion with an agreed weather alternative.

Day 4: Continue towards Bern or the Bernese Oberland, depending on the group’s interests.

Day 5: A relaxed departure or an extension centred on scenic rail travel.

Silja Line and the Baltic Sea: travel is part of the story

A journey between Sweden and Finland or across the Baltic may benefit from time at sea. Silja Line can be one element in a larger programme: a comfortable crossing, a city stay, a meeting with colleagues or a journey in which the sea becomes a natural pause between destinations. Routes, operators, timetables and commercial terms must be checked for the relevant dates; an itinerary concept is not a claim of official partnership.

For group organisers, ferry travel raises practical questions about terminals, boarding windows, cabin allocation, luggage, mobility and the timing of onward transport. We bring those questions into the plan early instead of leaving them until the final confirmation.

Built for groups and the people who organise them

Tour operators and group leaders need a local counterpart who asks the right operational questions. PM Scandinavia places detailed planning and attentive care at the centre: realistic walking time, departure points, reservation requirements, possible guide capacity and clear coordination between services.

Whether your request begins with a guide in Stockholm, several days in Norway or a combined programme with Austria, Switzerland and the Baltic, start with what you already have arranged. We can discuss an appropriate scope instead of offering a one-size-fits-all package.
